Generation runs on our servers, so it needs a Cloud project, a sign-in and credits. Manual editing never does. This is the Mac and Windows app.
Make something new — through the Director
Video shots, voice, music, sound effects and stills are made by the Director. Open it, choose its Produce mode, and describe what you want. The Director answers with an approval card that lists each item and its price in credits; it generates only what you approve, and rejecting the card discards the proposal without generating anything. Asking the Director is itself a metered turn. See work with the Director and what generation costs.
In a Local project, the Director’s panel says it comes with Cloud and offers Sign in / Promote to Cloud; editing carries on free either way.
Change a clip — AI passes
Right-click a clip and open AI passes to upscale it, denoise the picture, remove the background, isolate a voice, make a slow-motion take, restyle it or extend the shot. Each pass opens a sheet with its price; nothing is charged until you choose to run it, and each run is one attempt. A pass needs the clip’s source uploaded to the Cloud. Most passes work on sources up to five minutes long; restyle takes a source up to 10 seconds long, and extending a shot works on a source of any length, because it reads only the clip’s last moments.
Some passes replace the clip’s source, some add a take or a clip; the menu groups them that way. See restyle a clip, upscale a clip, clean up dialogue and key out a green screen for four of them.
