Find the best moments in a long recording
Turn a long talk, stream or interview into a tight cut: let AI propose the moments that stand on their own, keep the ones you want, and build the cut.
This is the Mac and Windows app. (On the phone, the Clip It recipe does a similar job; see use Horoptic on your phone.)
Find moments
- Select the long recording on the timeline, choose Words on the timeline’s toolbar, and open the MOMENTS tab.
- Choose Find moments…. If the recording has no transcript yet, it is transcribed first. Both steps are paid passes that run on our servers. The Director proposes each one with its price, and runs it only if you approve; asking the Director is itself a metered turn (see credits & billing).
Finding moments needs the recording’s media in the Cloud and a sign-in. In a Local project you can still choose Pick words by hand.
Choose what to keep
Each moment is a row you can play, keep or drop; a dropped row’s back brings it back. Not enough? Find more… asks again, as another paid pass.
Build the cut
Choose the build button, which counts the moments you kept. In one change, the recording leaves the timeline and the kept moments take its place on the same track, end to end, each with a chapter marker, and with captions on a video track. The recording itself stays in your Library, and ⌘Z undoes the whole build.
The result stays in this project. It does not make a new project or reframe the video; for chapter markers, see use markers and chapters.
