Cookie Policy
This website sets no cookies. Here is exactly what is stored, where, and what signing in to Horoptic uses.
The short version
This marketing website sets no cookies. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no session-replay tools anywhere on it. Analytics is switched off entirely, so no consent banner is shown, and simply reading these pages stores nothing on your device.
One thing is stored if you submit the beta waitlist form — described in full below.
The Horoptic desktop app is separate: it works offline and account-less, and using it locally stores nothing remotely. Signing in to a Horoptic account uses two strictly-necessary cookies, described below.
This website
Reading this site stores nothing on your device. There is exactly one exception, and it applies only if you choose to submit the beta waitlist form:
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
cr_wl_seen | The email address you submitted, kept in your own device’s local storage so that if you submit the form again we can show you “you’re already on the list” instead of a fresh confirmation. It is stored only on your device and is never transmitted — the server is not told about it. At most the 20 most recent addresses are kept. | Until you clear site data |
If you never submit that form, nothing is stored at all.
Horoptic has built — but not enabled — optional, privacy-friendly analytics. If it is ever turned on, a consent banner appears first and nothing is loaded or stored until you explicitly accept. It would use browser local storage rather than cookies, for these values only:
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
cr_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so you are not asked again. | Until you clear site data |
cr_ph_id | A random identifier with no connection to your name, email, or account, used to count unique visits. | Until you clear site data |
cr_ft_utm, cr_lt_utm | The campaign parameters in the link you first and most recently arrived through, so we can tell which channels work. | Until you clear site data |
That analytics would be limited to page metadata — which page, which referrer, which campaign. It would never include your prompts, your media, or your timeline. You can decline, and you can withdraw consent at any time by clearing site data for this domain.
Signing in to Horoptic
Signing in to a Horoptic account sets two cookies on the Horoptic application domain. Both are strictly necessary — they exist to keep you signed in and to make sign-in secure — so they do not require consent, and neither is used for analytics or advertising.
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
cr_session | Keeps you signed in. | 30 days |
cr_chal | A single-use security value that protects passkey sign-in and registration against replay. | 5 minutes |
Both are set with HttpOnly (unreadable by page scripts), Secure (sent only over HTTPS), and
SameSite=Strict (never sent from another site). Signing out clears your session cookie.
Managing storage
Every browser lets you view and delete cookies and local storage for a site, and blocking them is your choice. Blocking storage for this marketing site costs you nothing: the only value it stores is the waitlist convenience above, and without it a repeat sign-up simply shows the standard confirmation again. Blocking the strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from staying signed in to a Horoptic account.
Changes
If this site begins setting cookies, or analytics is enabled, this page is updated before that happens.
