Abuse & takedown
Two kinds of report arrive here, and they need opposite things. One is a legal procedure that must be exact. The other needs to be fast. Pick the one that describes your situation — neither is behind the other.
Neither form on this page sends anything. There is no server behind them. They assemble a complete, correctly-ordered report and hand it to you to send from your own mail client — so you keep the sent copy, and the timestamp is yours, not ours.
Two ways to report
Illegal or non-consensual content
You do not need an account, a lawyer, or a legal statement to use this. Tell us where it is and we act. If you are the person in the material, you do not have to describe it — a link is enough.
If a child is at risk, or you are in danger, contact your local emergency number and your national reporting hotline first. Do that whether or not you also report here — this form only reaches a review queue that people read during working hours.
It exists only in this browser tab. Send it from your mail app and the copy in your Sent folder is the record.
Nothing opened?
Some setups have no mail app registered, and some clip long messages. Copy the parts above into any mail client, or into webmail. A truncated report is still worth sending — the address alone reaches us.
What happens after you send it
- Material we host and can identify from your report comes down while we review it. We do not wait for the review to finish first.
- Where the law requires it, we preserve what we must and report to the appropriate authority. We do not ask your permission first, and we do not need you to have contacted them.
- If you left an email address, we reply to it once the review closes. If you did not, nothing further comes back to you — that is the trade for reporting anonymously.
Copyright takedown (DMCA)
A notice must contain all six elements below. One missing element does not start the clock — the notice is not effective, we cannot act on it, and you would have to send it again. So this form accounts for each element as you go, and will not tell you a notice is ready until all six are there.
We can only remove material Horoptic hosts. Horoptic is local-first: most projects and media live on the editor's own machine and never reach us. If the material is only on someone's device, there is nothing here for us to take down, and a notice will come back saying exactly that.
The six required elements
17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). This list is the notice's structure, in order.
Elements 5 and 6 are statements you make, not information you supply.
Your notice is assembled. Nothing has been sent yet.
This page has no way to send mail, so it did not pretend to. The notice below exists only in this browser tab. The moment it becomes a legal notice is the moment you press send in your own mail client — and the copy in your Sent folder, with its timestamp, is the record. We do not have one until then.
Mail app didn't open, or the message looks wrong?
That is a limitation of handing text to a mail app, not a problem with your notice. Some browsers have no mail client registered; some clip long messages. Use the three COPY buttons above — address, subject, body — and paste them into any mail client or webmail. A pasted notice is exactly as valid as one this page opened for you.
Do not send a partial notice. If the body was clipped, paste the full text over it before sending, or all six elements will not be there.
- Keep your own copy. Reloading this page clears everything in it — there is no draft saved anywhere.
- We reply to the email address in element 4, from the address you sent to.
- If we act on the notice, your contact details go to the person whose material came down, and they may file a counter-notice.
Counter-notices & repeat infringers
If your material was removed and you believe the notice was wrong or the use was lawful, you can send a counter-notice. It has its own required elements, including a statement under penalty of perjury and consent to jurisdiction. We forward it to the original complainant, and unless they tell us they have filed suit, the material can go back.
Accounts that repeatedly host infringing material lose access.
Designated agent
A service provider that wants safe-harbour protection has to name an agent to receive copyright notices, and register that agent publicly. Horoptic has not done this yet.
No agent has been registered, so there is nothing truthful to print here yet. This block
stays empty rather than filled with a name that is not real. Notices sent to [email protected] are read and acted on in the meantime — that address is live.

How to reach us
Both forms on this page end in an ordinary email, so you can skip them entirely and write to us directly. Nothing is lost by doing that — the forms only help you get the required parts in one message.
[email protected] Send a link or a project ID. No format required.
[email protected] All six elements must be in the message to be effective.
Not a copyright or safety matter? Billing, access and account questions go to Help. This page is only for takedowns and abuse reports, and sending other things here slows the ones that matter.
